MARY ELLEN DAWKINS

Mary Ellen Dawkins 65, died Monday, February 19, 2007 at Hospice Savannah. She was a native of Bristol, Rhode Island living in Savannah since 1974. Mary was a very active member of St. George’s Episcopal Church for 31 years, serving on the Alter Guild and being very supportive of her entire church family. She was a veteran of the United States Navy.
Surviving are; her daughters, Lisa Woodside and husband Wayne, Christina Mathieu and husband Tommy, and Wendy Dawkins all of Savannah, her brother, Herbert Newman of Virginia Bch, VA, her grandchildren, Carissa Gonzalez, Joseph Murphy, Lee Burnsed, Bobby Keel III, James Renzel, Iain Woodside and Trevor Woodside all whom she loved unconditionally.
Visitation will be Thursday, February 22, 2007 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at St. George’s Episcopal Church located at 15 Willow Rd and White Bluff Rd.
Memorial Services will be Friday, February 23, 2007 at 3 p.m. at St. George’s Episcopal Church with burial in the church garden.
